"Pressure" selling (selling where you must make the sale to survive) is caused by lack of prospects. If you're
making a call on your last prospect, the feeling you transfer is one of desperation and personal need and not value for your products or service. Add to this the fact that if you don't sell this prospect, you're out of business. That is enormous pressure and will ultimately cripple and eventually kill any sales career. This especially true if the
cupboard is bare, the bank account has been emptied, and the indicator on the gas gauge is pointed toward "E."
