Characteristics of a good franchisee

Know what you should be to become good franchisee;

  1. Eagerness to learn. The franchise applicant must not simply have financial resource to acquire a franchise, but also the interest to learn the ins and outs of growing the business with franchisor.
  2. Proper motivation. Put the prospective franchisee in the shoes of the customer, and see how he feels about the product and service.
  3. Willingness to follow systems. Franchisees are expected to duplicate the winning business formula of their franchisors, so they must be willing to adopt what is already working.
  4. Sufficient capitalization. Reputable franchisors fully disclose to their applicants how much they really need to spend, in order for franchisees to honestly and fully determine whether they are financially capable of starting and operating a franchise business.
  5. Good sales or business background.  Those who have business background are expected to have advantage compared to those who don't have.
  6. Adequate participation. Management skills and willingness to work with the franchisor will be crucial in achieving satisfactory results.
  7. People skills. Do not only take care of your customers but must have good communication skills to your employees.
  8. Have a good location. Chose a location that is much accessible and point where people always pass and go.
