What to look for in a Franchise brand

Here are some of the things that you should consider;

  1. The demand for the product or service and its growth potentials. One way to gauge the
    demand for the product or service being offered is to talk to existing franchisers.
  2. Competition. Check out the competition, and see if the company has a decisive edge over its rivals in terms of product quality and the ability to reach out to its target market.
  3. Brand recognition. A respected brand usually has its loyal, captive market that guarantees good returns on investment if managed well.
  4. Affordability. A franchise, although already highly successful, must remain affordable for a prospective franchise to pay for the costs of opening a new outlet, or a number outlets depending on the pertinent provisions of franchise agreement.
  5. Experience and credibility. It is important that a franchisor has an established track record that makes his franchise worth investing in.
  6. Training and support from the franchisor. The franchisee pays the franchisor not only for the use and sale of his products but also for the franchisor's guidance.
  7. Franchisor's financial projection. Franchisee applicants should not only consider the popularity of a brand, but also the brand's longevity, expected return on investment, and capacity to grow even further.
  8. Franchise agreement. Franchisor's must have a fair and standard franchise agreement for all its franchises. The agreement should also meet the expectation of both parties since they will be highly involved in the performance and growth of the company throughout the duration of the franchise term.
  9. Company background (intellectual properly registration, litigation history, upcoming promotion, etc.) The franchisor and the franchisee"must have the same values and same mission," A prospective franchisee must also know the company's upcoming promotions that will drive up sales and affects its standing in the future.
