Facemash, the Facebook’s predecessor, opened on October 28, 2003.[8] Initially, the website was invented by a Harvard student, Mark Zuckerberg, and three of his classmates – Andrew McCollum, Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz. Zuckerberg wrote the software for the Facemash website when he was in his second year of college. The website was set up as a type of “hot or not” game for Harvard students. The website allowed visitors to compare two student pictures side-by-side and let them choose who was “hot” and who was “not”.....

Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg biggest giver in 2013


Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of Facebook, and his wife, Priscilla Chan, led the philanthropic pack in 2013 with a

nearly $1-billion gift to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, helping to catapult the organization to the ranks of the biggest foundations in the United States.

The California couple was followed by the Texas energy tycoon George Mitchell, who pioneered hydraulic-fracturing for finding natural gas.

When Mr. Mitchell died in July, he left an estimated $750-million

Richest Person in the World

I am introducing to you Carlos Slim, this guy replaces the position of Bill Gates in the number one slot as the richest man on earth. Slim is a telecommunication tycoon who controls Mexico's America Movil SAB (AMXL), this is according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a daily index ranking of the world's 20 wealthiest individuals.
The 72-year-old Slim has a net worth of $478.4 million in a day to $68.5 billion as of the close of market on March 2, US Bill Gates and Warren Buffett placed second and third. Brazil's Eike Batista, ranks 10th who has a net worth of $39 billion.
Gates, 56, co-founder of Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) still has a net worth of $62.4 billion down to $102.1 million on March 2.
